Few hours back, I was in a local train compartment, on my way back home. It happened all of a sudden, if my memory doesn’t betray, in the mid of the year 1992, and honestly the incident, which I am to pen down, had far reaching consequences, and led me being human, changing my views and feelings towards life. India vs South Africa 6th ODI: Virat Kohli hits 35th ODI, India beat South Africa India cruised to a 5-1 series win against South Africa with  Virat Kohli  leading the chase. He scored his 35th ODI century and 13th as captain of India. India were chasing a target of 205 in Centurion in the final ODI and Kohli made 126* to finish the game with 17.5 overs remaining. Investors may have been shocked when one of India’s biggest banks disclosed a $1.77 billion fraud by a billionaire jeweller, but the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has recorded data that shows the problem runs far deeper and wider. The central bank data, which a Reuters reporter obtained through a right-to-information request, shows state-run banks have reported 8,670 “loan fraud” cases totaling 612.6 billion rupees ($9.58 billion) over the last five financial years up to March 31, 2017. In India, loan frauds typically refer to cases where the borrower intentionally tries to deceive the lending bank and does not repay the loan. The figures expose the magnitude of the problem in a banking sector already under pressure after years of poor lending practices. Bad loans surged to a record peak of nearly $149 billion last year.
